Why personality wins

When QOOZII first entered the market, the ambition was already there. The product too. But the brand around it hadn’t grown at the same pace.

Like many young product-driven brands, the initial focus was on testing, launching and gaining traction. There were early materials, a catalogue, a website and packaging, all created at different moments, by different people. Functional, yes. But truly cohesive? Not quite. And that’s exactly what starts to weigh once you want to grow.

A strong product alone isn’t enough

QOOZII started in 2023. In that early phase, things were approached pragmatically: testing demand, building step by step.

But as the brand began expanding beyond Belgium, something became clear: the product could no longer carry the story on its own.

“When you’re selling it yourself, you can explain a lot,” says Yannick. “But once you want to grow internationally, working with agents or standing next to other brands in stores and at trade shows – your brand needs to speak for itself.”

What was once “good enough for now” started to feel limiting. The packaging felt too generic. The brochure lacked impact. The visuals relied too heavily on renders. And although the lamps themselves were strong, the overall brand experience still felt underdeveloped.

What began with packaging grew into something bigger.

QOOZII didn’t come in asking for a full rebrand. The initial request was clear: the packaging no longer felt right. But packaging never stands on its own. It’s a translation of positioning, perception and trust. And if that foundation isn’t clear, a new box won’t solve the problem. That’s where the scope expanded. Not a light version, but a solid foundation. A clear story, a consistent identity and a brand ready for growth. That conviction is what ultimately made QOOZII move forward.

When everything comes together

The strategic phase was new for QOOZII. Not because there was no vision, but because their brand had never been approached in that way before. It took some time to settle.

But once the direction became clear, everything started to align. Strategy created direction. Design gave it form. And then came the tangible layer: photography, catalogue, packaging and trade show materials.

That was the turning point. “I think we really felt it when the physical elements came in,” says Yannick. “When we saw the first photos, the catalogue and the packaging – that’s when we realized: this is a big leap forward.”

From commodity to gift

Perhaps the most telling way to describe the impact: Before, QOOZII was selling a good product. Today, they’re selling a gift. Before the rebrand, the lamps were packaged in a simple white box. Functional, but flat.

The product had quality, but the experience around it didn’t elevate it. Today, that has changed. The packaging has become part of the product. The imagery creates atmosphere. The catalogue adds depth. Everything feels more intentional and aligned.

“In the past, we had a commodity on the shelf,” says Yannick. “Now it’s truly a gift item.” And that changes how people perceive, choose and buy.

Branding as a lever

The impact of branding isn’t always immediately measurable in numbers. But it is tangible. For QOOZII, that impact showed in stronger first impressions, agents being convinced faster, customers feeling more trust, and trade shows where the brand finally felt like a coherent whole.

A notable shift: people who already knew QOOZII reacted differently. Where there was hesitation before, there was now conviction. In their words, the personality of the brand became “five times stronger.”

And that’s what makes the difference. Because branding doesn’t replace the product. But it ensures the product is understood faster, positioned better and presented more powerfully.

A collaboration that moves things forward

What QOOZII also emphasized is how important the process itself was. Not just the outcome, but the way the project was carried. The pace, the follow-up, the short lines of communication. The feeling that things kept moving, even when things got busy on their side. For founders without a large internal team, that makes a real difference. It creates clarity, momentum and the confidence that the bigger picture is being taken care of.

Kind words from QOOZII:

“We really enjoyed working with Stephanie and Nathalie. Strong branding work, always reachable, and great momentum throughout the process. The result speaks for itself, we’re getting a lot of positive feedback and our brand feels much more professional.”
